Rayman 2 was first released in 1999 for the Nintendo 64 and PC. Rayman 2 introduced many brand-new major characters, though it featured almost none from its predecessor. It is the first sequel to the original Rayman game, and the series' first 3D game. Rayman 2: The Great Escape is the second major game in the Rayman series.
